Dr Millicent Ele: Dr Millicent Ele is an environmental law attorney with strong interest in the sustainable use of natural resources, clean energy, pollution control, and public health. She had an earlier degree in Zoology/Botany from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria and taught biology and human physiology for many years before reading law at UNN. Her LL.M was from Columbia University School of Law, New York and her PhD in Law was from University of Aberdeen, Scotland, UK. Dr Ele has worked in many capacities as an attorney in Nigeria and the United States. She has published peer-reviewed articles in respected law journals, presented her work at conferences, and contributed substantial research and editorial work to “The Public Health Law Manual” (3rd Ed.). She is a principal consultant at Earth Heritage International Ltd – an environmental and public health consultancy firm in Nigeria. Dr Ele is currently a law lecturer and researcher. She is a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (FHEA); a member of the Association of International Energy Negotiators (AIEN); and the UK Environmental Law Association (UKELA). She has been admitted to practice law in Nigeria and the State of New York, USA.
